Machine Shop Testimonials?
« on: March 04, 2010, 12:19:17 PM »
I've got my engine's head up at the Sanel Auto Parts machine shop in Concord awaiting some parts from the UK that I've ordered through Rovah Farm.  For some reason, I've reflexively brought it to Sanel's.  I wonder if I should give Robbin's Auto Parts machine shop a try when the parts come in for the block (hopefully) this week.

Has anyone had any experience with the Robbin's machine shop?  Good...bad...other??  Machine shop costs have gone WAY up since the last time I had some done (at least at Sanel)!

I use Crosby machine in Portsmouth. Has always done a great job and have used him for years and years.

Crosby Automotive Machine20 Mirona Road Ext, Portsmouth, NH 03801-5343(603) 427-0360‎

The only engine related service that I do not use Dave for is crankshaft grinding which will go to Robbins or R&L Engines

Thanks, Matt.

I took a look at the R&L website a few weeks back and was considering them.  I'll add Crosby to the list of possibles too.  The only thing I like about Robbins and Sanels is that I can drop the parts off and pick them at their stores in Manchester, even though the actual machine shops are in Concord and...Dover (I think).

I chuckle when I see the R & L website, chocked full of performance-boosting products and services and think that I am considering bringing my 65 horsepower diesel engine in for work.  Probably a glorified lawn mower engine to them.
