DI near Derry?
« on: May 23, 2010, 07:16:25 PM »
I picked up a DI that appeared to be  in reasonably good nick. There are a couple issues I've run into that I need to dig into.

The easy one (for now) is the AC. The plug going into the compressor does not have a wire going into it. Anyone got a DI w/ AC that I can have a look at to compare and see what should be here and where it should go?

Tips needed for the sunroof. Looks like the right rail on the front one is not working. It doesnt open w/o help and it doesnt lock shut. I want to be comfortable that it wont leak. Easiest fix?

For reference, 94 Land Rover Discovery.

there's a rover graveyard, on pow wow rd. in Kingston, NH from what I hear. It's basically a junkyard with a ton of discos and ranges I guess. You could try there. or if you snap a pic of the wires your talking about I can look at mine and snap a pic of what you need.

AC compressor plug is empty. Missing the wire going to it.
There is a blue plug along the edge that also is missing a wire. Not sure if the blue plug is supposed to have a wire going to the compressor?
There  is also a heavy brown lead that is cut off. Havent followed it back yet...
Ideas?

THE BLUE CONNECTOR DOESN'T GO TO ANYHTING BUT THAT CUT BROWN WIRE LOOKS KIND OF SCARRY.THAT WIRE IS SUPPOSED TO CARRY SOME SERIOUS AMPS AND HAVEING IT OPEN LIKE THAT IS NOT GOOD.YOUR SUNROOF SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED NEW GUIDE RAILS NOT A REAL EASY FIX BUT PRETTY COMMON.

mine has something connected to the blue plug, to dark now to track it down. I don't have that heavy brown wire, and I forgot to look at the AC

A/C plug fixed.
That heavy brown wire is just a piece. Its cut off further in, so it currently doesnt go anywhere.
Blue plug... not sure whats not working, but it would be nice to know what it feeds.
