Thanks so much for the welcome! While I work in NYC, my defender is in Greenland, NH.. I definitely don't have nearly as much done to the truck as John's 97. But it's got an OME lift and has rockguards, Tuffy...etc. Really runs great. Whenever I'm in the area, I work on the truck but I still have not yet had a lot of time behind the wheel. Hurts, but absence makes the heart grow fonder (My fiancee may have other thoughts but my loyalty is with my truck:biggrin:)

Hello everyone,  My name is Erik, I own a LR Discovery II SE7 Model 2000....I enjoy this truck so much, my wife gives me hard time because she thinks we can get a better truck than this... I don't think so, I love my truck.

Welcome on board.  Yeah I have a 1996 Discovery SD, check out some of the vids on this site.  My truck is bone stock, no mods yet.  Show them too her, and then see if she doesn't think of the Discovery as a real truck.

Hi Guys.

Over the past several years I've developed a completely inexplicable obsession with series Land Rovers.

I've never owned or even driven a Land Rover, never done any off-roading other than a few drives on the beach in a Toyota 4 runner.  Yet I keep finding myself looking up Rovers on ebay.

I forget how I found this site but was happily suprised to find a club in southern NH. I'd love to learn more... maybe some help on what to look for if (ok, honestly, when) I decide to look for one to buy.

Thanks!

Reed

hello reed.. thanks for visiting the site. i started this site shortly after obtaing my land rover series 3 after a failed e-bay auction. (we got some world class members here.)   i contacted the man who was selling it and statted i would purchase it as long as it was as described....I GOT LUCKY....it was all there as described plus came with several spare parts....just in case.  continue to check e-bay, craigslist, and other sites like that...also  check out www.landroversonly.com   for their vehicle for sale section. you never know.   other members will be adding to this thread so check it often for more input.   thanks for registering.  want to learn more about rovers, visit often and come out and ride with us during an event. we have one coming up on april 20th.  we can get you a shotgun seat...    where you from?????   tom

Reed,

My dads woodworking business is over in Antrim, we just moved to Henniker from there less than 3 months ago. My dad is a collector and we have several series rovers, battered blue/sand 73 series III (his daily driver), and a nz military 53 series I, a few in the bush, i currently have a classic that i will hopefully get on the road soon. bah lol. You should stop by, also have you seen that awesome Series III military 109 at mush cooks garage in antrim....its been sitting there for almost a year next to a tan colored discovery thats been sitting there for longer?
